Welcome to the Personal Website of George Michael Huff
time to get free
By George Huff
There is a bad habit floating around my fingers which lends to me constantly blogging about…my work and my busyness. it’s funny, I called my sister once only to get her answering machine, which said, “I am really busy right now so leave a message.” I remember thinking, yea we’re all busy, what about it. Now here I am with a blog, and the only topic that keeps running across my mind is how busy I am. What about it?
Busy is good. Balance is good. As the saying goes, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.” Am I getting so dull that all I can think about blogging about is work? This site started as a portfolio, turned into a bloatfolio (courtesy of James Hall), and now it is a stage where I have all the necessary tools in place, but am having trouble finding my voice. The voices in my head say “write about your field, your work.” The ideas in my head say, “write about everything.” Since I have been having such a difficult time lately writing about anything interesting in my work (even though I find it very interesting), I am going to start writing about anything I want.
Only I can set me free, I think this is going to be healthy, therapeutic, and real.

Stay tuned.

While this blog and site of yours should be, and clearly is, put to good use as a tool for leads, networking and showcasing your great work, remember that writing can be theraputic. Never shy from a rant, a rave or a general musing. See, I even write without a single html tag. Amazing!
